In 2007 Maria was made part of history when she was commissioned to work on Tyler Perry Studios, the first major film production campus in Georgia, and has been a leader in the industry ever since. Her experience in design, construction and the Entertainment Industry adds to her unique skill set. From innovative designs to the use of inventive materials, her creativity has proven to be the right solution for this industry. For example: She instituted the use of precast concrete panels which help provide improved climate control, lower cost of maintenance, and improved acoustic and fire safety performance.

In 2015, Maria founded PAM Studios, LLC (Playa Azul Media), a multi-platform company, to fulfill her vision of tapping into the underserved market of communities that show the most rapid growth of consumption in the film industry. She has been approached by many in the Hispanic community to lead in the development of film, television and streaming products that will inspire young Latinos to dream big and to change the global stereotypes of this community.

Maria is a Board Member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, a former Chairman of the Board of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is currently a Chairman for the Board of the Georgia Latino Film Festival.
